Die Hawker Tempest Mk.V galt als schnellstes, propellergetriebenes Jagdflugzeug (und Jagdbomber) während des 2. Weltkriegs. Ab 1944 wurde dieser von der Royal Air Force (RAF) vor allem im Kampf gegen die Vergeltungswaffe V1 und die triebwerkgesteuerten ME262 eingesetzt.
Der Tschechische Hersteller Special Hobby bietet dieses Flugzeug als Modell im Maßstab 1/32 in einer normalen Spritzgussversion, sowie in einer "HI-TECH"-Version mit hervorragend detaillierten Resinteilen, Fotoätzteilen und von HGW gefertigten Gurten an.
Weiteres Zubehör ist hier nicht notwendig, das tolle Modell wurde ohne weiteres Zubehör gebaut - sofern der Motor verschlossen bleiben soll (eine Motornachbildung liegt nicht bei) ist dies problemlos machbar.
